Introduction to Oil Painting
Curious about oil painting? This is your chance to dive in. Join a small group hands-on introduction to the medium—explore rich pigments, surfaces, brushes, and more. No materials required; your instructor will provide everything so you can try it out before investing in your own supplies.
We’ll experiment and play, giving you a feel for the process and helping you decide if oil painting is right for you.

What You'll Learn
In this small group class, you’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of working with oil paint, including how to mix color, handle brushes, and build a painting in layers.
We’ll cover simple techniques for creating depth and light, along with best practices for setting up your workspace and caring for materials. By the end, you’ll have a small study and a foundation to continue exploring.
