The Magic of Watercolor with June Shatken

Come spend the day learning the basics of watercolor painting in a relaxed, playful environment. We will explore the brushes, papers, paints and techniques that make this transparent medium so much fun to use. 

Schedule: Tuesday, July 7, 10:00am-4:00pm (there will be a lunch break; please feel free to bring a bag lunch)

What you’ll learn

Start small and easy, painting on dry and wet papers; experiment with mixing colors (that’s where the ‘magic’ comes in!), experiment with different textures, and learn how to create the illusion of space on paper, in your own personal style.

Perfect for beginners or those wanting a refresher.
